Richard, a founding partner at Powers & Sullivan, is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in Massachusetts. He has over twenty-five years experience in supporting governmental and private sector clients in accounting, tax and financial matters.
His governmental experience includes providing auditing, consulting and advisory services, the preparation of CAFR’s, fraud investigations and special project audits. He is a frequent speaker at various Massachusetts governmental accounting organizations.
His private sector experience includes corporate and individual tax preparation, tax planning and advisory services.
Richard received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell and his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Bentley College.
Richard is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Government Finance Officers Association. He also serves as secretary for the Association of Governmental Accountants.
